Here we were just finishing eating lunch at La Papala on Calle Neuvo and we look up and here are these egrets just a dancing and fluffing up. Probably mating season. Unbelievable to watch. Traffic flowing down the street, people walking by and these lovely birds never paid a bit of attention.

Palm Sunday. You’ll notice everyone is carrying a palm branch to cool “Jesus” off as he goes down the street.

The women dried out the fronds and weave them into a variety of shapes.

Great restaurant for fish or shrimp tacos – steamed or beer battered. Hot dogs, carrot cake, beer – what else is there. Like a tent in the middle of the lot with wonderful and friendly staff. A couple of tacos and coleslaw (really good) and 4 beers with a tip is about 200 pesos.

This is at the Botanical Gardens. It’s a 15-20 minute walk. Beautiful. Lucky for us the cacti were starting to bloom.

I think it was 20 pesos to get in. If you leave by the lower exit, you come out at Los Balcones which is a hop, skip and a jump back to Casita del Colibris.

A triple set of windows in the becroom. The two at the ends open and on the opposite wall there are a couple more windows to get a cross breeze going.

The door you see is the entrance to the other apartment’s patio. Fortunately they weren’t patio people because the odd time they were there it was easy to hear them.

Dinnertime. The chairs with cushions were fine. And the setup worked out just fine. We had another lower level patio which had a proper table and umbrella. However, there was absolutely no view from there.
