There’s a whole bunch more photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/darmorrow/HousePhotos#
They were taken in 2005 after our renovations and show a lot of detail about those renos. They also show the then new studio with the elliptical. I bought that this year after my second back surgery.
The townhouse is 1350 square feet. There are 14 stairs going from the entrance to the main floor. They are extra wide (ie not standard). We put in oak bannisters on both sides so those otherwise abled (me) can get up the stairs a little easier.
Everthing else is on the one main floor. There is an upstairs foyer. Off of that you get the kitchen, the bedroom and bathroom (which has two doors allowing access from both the bedroom and the kitchen), and what is called the great room. That’s the living room, dining room and office area.
The balcony has a Jackson gas barbecue but I warn you it’s meant for two people. Now if you’re cooking hotdogs you might feed more
There is a 42″ LCD TV with a BOSE surround sound system, and lots of windows (and light). The computer area has a 24″ Faroudia Flat Monitor and the computer runs Windows Vista SP1. Also there is a fax machine with its own number.
The kitchen is fully equipped and you can see the table featured in the slide show. New refrigerator with French Doors and bottom freezer, microwave and all the toys you’d expect to find from a cook with a gadget fetish
.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed with a memory foam mattress. There’s aslo a ceiling fan with remote control.
The second bedroom has been turned into a Pilates studio. This room will be locked unless one of you is a certified Pilates instructor. I feel we have to do that for safety. It’s a shame because there is also a commercial quality elliptical cross trainer in there and a second bathroom. But I think our insurance would not cover any injuries…
There is an option to put in a cot or two if we can figure out how to disable the reformer.
We have a cat so if you are allergic there is no way that we can get rid of all the cat dander. Otherwise we can make arrangements to board the cat out and take that into the cost of the rental. We’re not trying to gouge anyone.
